The Comfort-Med Turning Wedge/Knee Support is an economical solution for patients needing back support for positioning or under knee support. The contour cut support allows the patient to lie on their side and maintain a 45 or 90 degree angle or a 3/4 prone position. When used as an under knee support, it repositions the ankles to allow for different pressure points. This helps alleviate pain and allows healing for patients with bed ulcers on their heels from being positioned in the same spot constantly. The angle of the legs when used under the knees also gives airflow under and around the patient's lower extremities. It can be placed under the thigh for pelvic support and is also effective in relieving sacral pressure. To create a different comfort level for bedridden patients, it can be used as a footboard or sheet cradle.
